Hi y'all, my name is Cash Hargett. New here on the board, starting to mess around with RC cars again. Raced a bit around 90 or so at a little track on Ramstein AB we called Falcon Raceway. I drove a gold tub RC10 with a stadium truck conversion kit, can't remember the name of the conversion..also a Tamiya Terra Scorcher, Kyosho Lazer ZX, and a Traxxas Radicator....built some other cars too, and a few boats..mostly I fly, SAM legal old timers. Anyway, my daughter has an ECX Ruckus that is a pretty good little truck, and I just built a Tamiya re-release of the Stadium Blitzer. Forgot how much fun these cars are.
Anyway, here's my specifics..54, wife, daughter, 2 cats, 1 Studebaker....I've flown RC planes since 1984, first car was a Grasshopper a few years later...

Hi there

Sounds like you tried a nice variety of cars back in the day.

I only really noticed your post as the town you are in caught my attention, then I realised why.
I have a parcel enroute back to me from McKinney, as that's where the Traxxas office is, if I'm not mistaken.

hope you have fun using the site :)

Welcome!
I'm down in San Antonio :D

These little cars are a great hobby - good, clean fun!

BTW - I have an ECX Boost (buggy) - it's a tough and reliable basher; only issue is that it likes to strip spur gears...).

Grace's ECX Ruckus has been a good little truck. I bought it for her when she was 6, and it was a little too much for her. She ended up stuffing it under the Acura and shredding the body..that, and the fact it was an early series truck with a really nasty transmitter and an ESC that had the nanny cut off WAY to high, neccesitated a few changes. Proline body for starters, and I joyously chunked the original trans in the trash. I originally replaced the ESC with an old Tekin forward only esc, and let her drive with my old KO-Propo EX5. This Christmas brought us a decent entry level 2.4 unit, and I found an old Futaba MC112B ESC..took the Stock, and quite tired 20 turn motor out and swpped in an older 27 turn Slot Machine stock motor. With this setup, Gracie has forward and reverse, and a decent amount of punch...plus I get my EX5 back!! :D
I like the ECX stuff, especially now that they have a decent transmitter included. Just wish they sold them as kits, I like building these things..

Thanks ! Yes, Traxxas iHQ is in McKinney now, been here for a couple of years. I like Traxxas, built a Radicator and Sledgehammer back in the day..
