Going to be spending some time this winter rebuilding this car, I took it down to the chassis and got off all the old servo tape residue. Need to get a body and decide on paint.

Planning to go through the diffs and center unit this weekend. I have some Pavidis parts and have not decided if I want to go that full route and collect more parts and make a '95 Pavidis tribute car or stay with the stock '94.

You would need a different chassis if you wanted to go full Pavidis, but I'm sure you're aware of that. I love me a good YZ10, but if I'm honest, I think the fiberglass on the '94 has more aesthetic appeal than the all carbon '95. They're both great, though. You can't go wrong either way.

Yes, I have the parts including the Pavidis chassis, I'm only missing the CF top plate and the longer CF battery strap.

All the rod ends/cups were dyed purple by a previous owner, so I need to do something about that. I tried to RIT dye them black but they only became a darker shade of purple after 24 hours.

If you're not picky about repro parts, Fibre-Lyte makes the '95 pieces you're looking for:

Sorry to hear about the dyed parts. If it's just the rod ends and cups, it shouldn't be too hard to find replacements. They do pop up on eBay once in a while.

Thanks for that link! I am keeping an eye out as well and if it comes to it I don't have a problem with fiber-lyte, it looks like quality stuff.

Nice 94, I want to make a Pavidis edition out of my 94 yokomo but it's proving difficult to get all the parts.

For several reasons including my interest in another hobby where I need to make some parts, I decided to buy a 3D printer. As a side benefit there are some replacement and custom parts I'm going to be making for my 94 YZ10. and 870C. I have been a hobby machinist for years and recently sold a small mill so I put the money towards this.

Here's the first attempt at grommets for the Associated shocks with the YZ10. Here they are cleaned up and installed on the rear..

The extrusion nozzle really needs to be smaller for parts this small, I have a .5mm and need a .25 or .35mm

Here's a belt tension assembly for the 870c cooling off on the printbed with the grommets. The arm looks good with a little clean up. The wheel needs to print with support and a finer extrusion nozzle.
