Looking at building a 10T, few questions

It's a pretty simple scenario really, I've been building the buggies for a few years and amassed a bunch of parts over a few projects, bought the RERE's when they came out the whole 9. I do want a truck though and thats where my questions come in
I've been seeing worlds RERE's going for 150-200 on ebay, and used 10T's for the 150ish range so in your opinions would it be cheaper to buy a worlds rere and then truck parts (arms, shock towers and crap) or buy a used 10T and amass another set of parts like I did with the buggies?
With my new job money isn't really an issue like it's been in the past so I'm torn at the direction I want to go.

Hi,
I have thought about your question and I don't think it really matters, pick your course and full
steam ahead.
I bought my 10T complete off E-bay 5 years ago, since then my truck has slowly evolved for the
better I hope.
It has been a great journey and I wouldn't have it any other way.
I am still using the original body shell that came with it and I have grown quite attached to it.
I plan to buy a new shell but may end up painting it the same again, I love it, as I said I have had
the old girl for 5 years.
There is very little left of the original truck but the good white parts I have taken off are now going
to another project.
Cheers, Dave.

I would definately buy a good used truck and go from there. There are a couple of parts that are specific to the 10T and will cost you a bit in time and money to find. At least if you buy a used truck you have those parts and can replace a fair bit with re-re stuff if you wanted.
Also, by the time you bought things like truck CVD's, front shocks, arms, nose plate, towers, front bulkhead, nose tubes, body mounts, turnbuckles etc you'd be around $150 on top of the re-re anyways.

What type of 10T are you planning to build.

Depending on how you intend to upgrade the truck, look for one without those parts and you can save a bunch of money. Just make sure the expensive parts are on the truck, like the stealth trans and the front bulkhead.

Better to buy a truck in good condition and start there than to buy something abused and try to fix it. White parts generally cost more and are typically no longer made, but good deals are always out there.
The bottom of the chassis will depict how much the truck has been used. Do you want a sport (gold shocks) or team (grey shocks)? Do you plan on running the truck, or shelfing it?
Personally, I'd rather pay more for something good, than have to fix other peoples problems. Prices will be all over, but I think you can find a nice team truck with box for about $160 shipped.
