Theese will be my first lipo batteries ever and I just want to make sure I'm getting the right ones.

Will be going in an original RC10T,thats running Reedy XP esc and Reedy 3300 motor.Other car is a original worlds car also running the same reedy brushless setup.

The price is right so I'm hoping these are a good choice

Hi,

I wouldn't buy that one because,

A) It's a soft pack, get a Roar approved hard case.

B) It won't fit because of the wiring, you need the one where the two wires plug into the top.

Cheers, Dave. :)

Hi,

My 6 cell NiMh measures out at 135mm x 45mm x 23mm.

A perfect fit no room left.

The Turnigys measure at 135 mm x 45mm x 22mm.

Perfect this should fit!

I haven't tried them myself yet but this is what I plan to try.

Cheers, Dave. :)

Right on man!I didn't think about the wires, even though I don't mind modifying the battery box, that batt looks way better.Hard case is a plus!!
I'm coming out of the stone age, getting into the modern stuff,ha.That's why I ask first

i find the 4000's fit better in rc10's.

i've had a few of these for 4 years and they are still going strong. i onlt use them in my rc10s and jrx2's. they fit better and are lighter then the 5k's.

Guys, many of our vintage cars had some kind of oval- or curved-shaped battery holders and to my knowledge, the only LiPo I've seen that has a similar shape is the Gens Ace ones, like this:

It's currently out of stock @ HobbyPartz. Does anyone know if other manufacturers make a similar LiPo configuration?

ORION also makes the oval shaped lipos, they are a little on the long side but fit most tamiya's with the oval battery bay.

rcmarts use to sell (i havent looked) but 3300 and 3600 lipos for like 35 bucks, oval and were designed to fit in oval shapped slots on Tamiya cars.

Yes stick to hard packs, rc cars and trucks go through a bit more abuse, hard stops and landing than planes. so to protect cells hard casses are a must.

Just checked now, they apparently have about a half-dozen battery models with the oval shape, but all are out of stock. Gahh... :x
