Probably not the best thing to discuss on a public forum but what do you guys do for insurance, if anything at all?

Do you insure everything for a set value that your happy with or do you break it all down an itemize everything?

If things were unfortunately stolen or lost to fire or something many things would be near impossible to replace or take years to buy back. Sadly many of us spend more then what a car is actually worth so what is a happy medium?

i just discussed this with my insurance company last week. i had to declare them as a hobby/collectable under my household contents insurance.. i had to put a rough value on them but not individual.. was told to have various photos of each car and particulars detailed.
although i have under estimated their total value i'm hedging my bets that if something ever happened that i wouldn't loose my entire collection and even if i did there are only a few that i would be ready to cry over..lol

Definitely something that you'll have to discuss with your insurer, as each company has different coverage rules and regulation. Most people are woefully under-insured, not to mention changes they make and don't tell you about, so this is a good conversation to have with your provider on a regular basis.
