Yeah, we use a chemical at work called midnight blue for some ornamental steel jobs. Turned out ok, better than rust. Not as durable as black oxide or whatever the original coating

Truck is going back together with new aluminum hardware and early Ti turnbuckles with rere white ball ups.

Those kits came both with the tape, and mount blocks. Truck turned out great!! Were those shock bodies ran on a belt sander, I think they look cool!
