Thorpe alternative shaft to A3120?

I've been looking out for an A3120 slipper layshaft suitable for the LRM transmission for a mate's JRX2 (which he's hoping to run at this year's Revival meeting in August)... but with little luck.
However I did stumble across these; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Thorp-4775-Adapter-Kit-48-Pitch-Losi-Hydra-Drive-Team-Associated-RC10-RC-10-/251962309754?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3aaa1fbc7a I just wondered how it worked - or more importantly would it allow me to run a slipper assembly on a JRX2?
Thanks in advance
