So I am trying to restore my first 870c. I found a super clean car that just has a broken front C hub. Looks like I need ZC-413. All other 413 variants look to be incorrect as the lower hinge pin goes through the outer end of the "c" hub instead of the inner. So, Are these SUPER rare? I've been searching the bay for a set but all they have are newer variants. Or is there any other even temporary c hub that will fit until I can find the real deal?

they are different compared to the touring car type, where the hinge pin is on the outer edge.

They are frequently on ebay but you need to keep your eyes peeled. I also believe a kyosho optima part can be substituted(as well as the spindle fyr), and there are some other manufacturers of optima type cars that offer alloy ones. unfortunately, I don't know much more than that.

Thanks for the advice! I am seeing that Kyosho OT-55 hubs look like they have the same hinge point. That should do until I can find some actual Yokomo hubs.

notorious and lazy pargu is making the C hubs along with some yokomo parts. maybe it's not good for the fragile 870C arms. but useful for the shelfers

Hello all!
I am resurrecting this thread as I am looking for some 870c C front hubs.
I know that Kyosho OT-47 and OT-55 are compatible, but these have 8 and 15 degrees Caster respectively, while the original 870c parts have zero.
So, is there a direct replacement available anywhere?
Please help!

Paul Lomas on Facebook, page is 3DRC Vintage Car Running Spares, 3d prints them stock and with more castor. He should be getting me a set of C hubs and front/rear shaft hubs to back up my RPM units I have on my Masami 89. Otherwise, the ebay.

So, you're saying that adding caster angle to the 870c is good? I've never tested it.
If so, then I can get the Kyosho C hubs..

More castor will allow better turn in. Cliff Letts article in RCCA in Dec 1990 shows the blocks used.
