tough one to find

I remember the car from the picture in the last page ad of RCCA, but never paid much attention to it.
Who else remembers the hirobo jealousy?

From what I found it was only produced at about 400 pices orso. Hands up: who has one and can share some pics?

Plenty of information about it here
http://blog.roodo.com/tamiyaclub/archives/cat_243767.html

It's definitely on my wants list.

Limited to 300 examples sold worldwide, with only 1/4 of them sold outside Japan, guarantees its collectability.

Thanks guys,

I missed the one in ferrettis link and only saw a sub-page of the link of Terry

Here's the full RCCA ad with that blue and white body: http://www.vintagercweb.com/ads/hirobogroup_ad1.jpg

Kind of funny one of the articles from the links above says the hirobo Jealousy was the companys farewell present to RC cars, and yet this article shows this car and says hirobo cars are the future rage to arrive in the US.

Pitty nobody here seems to have one or can testify how it ran.
Anybody got another hirobo? I don't think any member ever posted pics here yet except for a single hilux 44b.

I have 2 Rock N Citys ( also 44b like the HIlux) and I have a couple of Zerdas - the kit versions, not RTR ones.
out of the parts I have to build 4, (most NIB) I have so far only got one of the Rock N City cars to almost finished....

I did see a Jealousy run - however it was still way off the pace to be honest against the cars of the day. Hirobo, after the Zerda, went off the pace at the higher levels of competition. The Jealousy was a development of the Invader/Alien Mid chassis. The suspension arms and geometry were the major changes. It is most definately one of the very hardest cars to find in ANY condition and would guarantee huge interest if it ever came up on ebay.

I like the Hirobo buggies - have all 4 Rockin Cities NIB, both versions of the Zerda NIB and a couple of others. Few people realise that Hirobo in fact were one of the very first manufacturers to release a car. Kyosho and Hirobo were major players early on in the gas buggy scene.

Cheers

Darryn

Here is the ugliest rc car in history? :D AND IT´S MIIINE!!
Image
and this is how they presented it.
Image
It´s 1:8 Nitro and made by Hirobo in 1979, It´s the Hirobo Dome-0 (Dome-Zero)
The real car they based the design on, looks much better.

Here is my Hirobo Ford Bronco, came out in 1977. 1:8
Image
Image
This car shares chassie with Hirobo Lotus 7, also from 1977. Mine to.
Image

But the chassie design originates from the Hirobo GS2 from 1973.

Other cars Hirobo made:
Thunder Buggy. 1:8
Image

Ford Touring 30. 1:8
Image

Gazelle 10. 1:12
Image

New Rusher 8. 1:8
Image

Datsun Bluebird Turbo SSS-S. 1:8
Image

Nine Beat Buggy. 1:12
Image

I like Hirobo. :D
