Hello, I just stumbled across this forum. What a great place for all these vintage racers. I am just finishing off a couple of projects that I have been thinking about for a long time. Here is my 4wd RC10. Pretty basic build. I took a new built RC10 and installed a very good condition first gen MIP conversion. Buggy also has losi bell cranks, andy's rear a-arms. I still have to paint the body and do a few other mods before it is all done. I decided I wanted to stay with the gold chassis with the chain drive conversion. It just seemed more appropriate. Hope you guys like it.

Thanks Shodog. That is the look I was going for. Now if I can just get motivated to paint. By the way, I have admired your collection on tamiyaclub for a long time. You have a lot of sweet rides.

Ok so I always had this little MIP tranny kicking around and didn't konw what it was bc it was different then the 4-10 belt tranny i had in my kit. Come to find out from these pics that its most likely the chain drive tranny. I never realized they were actually differnt and that the chain kit actually used the stock front shock tower. So here's my question... what does it use to mount to the chassis? Was there a template to drill the holes? Does ayone have it that they can scan for me? Sorry to jack the thread for a sec... gorgeous car man!

Erich, is your transmission Black or cleary nylon in color? there was a template with the instuction for drilling the holes but honestly it looks like it was hand drawn.

Its black with possibly the work regular head screws EVER holding it together... I've never opened it but if i tighten them so it seals the diff binds up. LOL. I don't have any instrustions for the chain kit... are they in the scan section by any chance?

Added some bling to my 4wd. Tecnacraft tie-rods and JG spring retainers.

Very cool, everyone knows what a big tecnacraft fan I am. Those spring collars are a nice hop up. I really like them and I have similar ones on my cars but the only thing I don't like is how they mar up the shock bodies.

Doug that's one great looking car...the perfectionism will eat up plenty of time and money but t's well worth it..

Shodog you are the tecnacraft king! Unfortunately I don't have any tecna wheels but the tie-rods are pretty sweet and really easy to adjust. I hear ya on the spring retainers. I have bought some old yok's that have these and the shocks are all beat up from the set screws. I don't plan on screwing these down for that reason.

Pete, thanks for the comments. It is pretty easy to spend too much time and money on these. Just when you think your done, something else comes up that would make it even better. I think I am done with this one for now, hopefully.
