Hi Guys,

I was saying,

after a lot of work,

a lot of swearing,

and in between measuring,

marking out,

drilling,

sand blasting,

I have this,

Real engineers, now is the time to look away!

Cheers, Dave.

Nice job indexing all those holes! I've done a lot of projects at work involving speed holes and I know how tedious it can be

What's you plan for finish on the chassis?

Hi Guys,

RJ loves my Octi-Grabs, but no love for the Viper fronts.

Hi Dillon,

I'm going to leave it bare aluminum, hopefully to look like a factory prototype.

Cheers, Dave. :)

Thanks Brian,

If it wasn't for you and Jeff this build would still be languishing.

The idea of a 4wd just gave me the push I needed to get going on it again.

It's only been 5 years give or take a couple of months.

Some more progress but I have run out of parts.

Cheers, Dave. :)

Ooooooo..... That's gonna be interesting with the short arms and lowering kit. Uncharted territory

Hi Jeff,

I never said I knew what I was doing, I'm making it up as I go along.

It is purely a fantasy car I dreamed of building 5 years ago,

now hopefully it will be 4wd. Sweeet :!:

The first time I put it together I re-drilled another chassis for a mid mount 6 gear,

it was ugly, a lot of holes in the bottom of the chassis.

I made a lot of mistakes with that one, but did learn a lot, time to start afresh.

Cheers, Dave. :)

Hi Guys,

Hi Adam,

Thanks Mate!

I have made some more progress,

I found that I can use RC10T hinge pins with a couple of shims.

I will try to take some more pics this afternoon.

I have turned the front diff into a spool, by leaving out the diff balls and cutting drive rings

out of rubber sheet.

Since it won't need to turn I used bushings instead of bearings and replaced the 6 small ball

bearings with a 4-40 small pattern nut as a spacer.

I have done this before with my T3 when running a 3 cell lipo, it works!

Cheers, Dave. :)

Hi Guys,

The promised pics,

The postie brought some more parts from Tower Hobbies,

but now I am out of parts again!

I am using vintage #6360 RC10 rear arm mounts that are 1.5 degree toe-in, not re-release #6360

rear arm mounts which are 3 degree with #6366 1.5 degree rear carriers.

I put the left hub carrier on the right hand side and right hand hub carrier on the left hand side to

give zero toe in.

Cheers, Dave. :)

Thank you Dillon,

It's coming together, I just hope I can make it all work.

Now I have to be patient until some more parts turn up and others become available.

Oh and I need to put some more money aside.

Cheers, Dave. :)
