My problem with World's Cars :P

I have an ancient R10 (and some other cars) in storage that I cannot get to yet. Got bitten again a few years back and was bashing some Tamiyas around and also bought a couple of RC10 shelf queens and like to snatch up cheap Ebay beater RC10s. I really wanted an RC10 to bash around with and I realized that it would probably be cheaper and better performance to buy a World's Car to toy around in than fix up my Ebay beaters.

My problem with the World's Cars:

I bought one and immediately realized it was too pretty to bash (or even drive). Instead of an inexpensive modernized aluminum tub AE basher, I now have a blinged out shelf queen  . I am very happy with it and all I think I have left to do is replace the white ballcups with black ones. Not sure where I am going to go with the body paint scheme yet. I thought about switching out the black chassis and motor plate parts for gold ones, but like the gold on black. My second World's Car kit should arrive in a few days and I am tempted to take a file to the chassis to make sure I actually run it and not turn it into another shelf queen :D

Sorry for the terrible cellphone pic; I will take some nice outdoor photos of it once it is completed. The dark spot on the chassis is where the Super Champ from the shelf above it peed a little on it and not a blemmish

Hi Fred,

I love your black and gold buggy, it's sweeet.

This hobby sure becomes addictive, I am always saying this will be my last build.

Cheers, Dave. :)

I am really loving the World's Car. I have a few cheap Ebay RC10 beaters that I figured I would combine parts into a nice restoration runner, but it is much easier and cheaper to go buy another World's Car. Finally got myself a brushless motor/esc setup (I think it was something pulled from an AE RTR); works like a champ with NiMH batteries. For about $50 or so over the price of putting together a Stealth transmission, I can buy another full RC10.

Very nice car! The black and gold look really good together.

Your rear arm mounts are on backwards. FYI.

Lol yes they were. I was not quite finished with it yet and sort of tossed them on. Was too lazy to change it till I got some more parts for it to do all at once.
