The body is a Camino 2000, the chassis had to be replaced due to breakage, as was the steering set up.








At first I ran LeMans 600E motors, but when I decided to race it, I went with LeMans 480 Gold






I wanted to use an 8.4 battery so I added spacers to the batter case to fit it. At the time, there were no ESCs that would handle dual motors, so I came up with this setup:




I bought this new, and wish I'd grabbed another. At the time, we thought the gearboxes wouldn't survive, so just in case, I picked up 2 spare gear sets which I still have. Also still have a NIB body kit, but I've always preferred the lexan bodies for it.

sweet dual msc setup there! I just purchased a coupe of gearboxes and wheels/tires that will be getting a custom chassis.

I love that body. I think it's the first time I've seen one outside of the advertisements.

I have not seen that body ever. It is different for sure and in a good way. Nice dual MSC mod as well.

Hm, now I'm wondering if that was the name of the body, it's been a lot of years. This body replaces the '40 Ford coupe body that had started to crack. The dual MSC set up was bullet proof, the Kyosho MSCs never let me down. It just took a while to get them synched, then I never touched them.

Yes, it's a Dahm's Camino 2000 which I remember first seeing in their early 90's catalog. They had it on a Clod as well, and it just looked so cool!

Thanks, time capsule is a good way to put it,m they've been sitting in my garage unused for some time. Nowhere local to run them really.

Nice Clod! Is that base the MSCs are on from a Nintendo cartridge case? Those cases made for great RC car patch material back in the day.

The MSCs are mounted on some scrap plastic I found in a storage area at work. They looked like separators for a storage setup of some kind, but no one knew what they were for. I think I still have a few somewhere. I'd love to find another clod to do a custom chassis on, as I think I'll leave this one as is.
