What generation (year) is that? I can't say that I've seen it before.

Pure awesomeness! Looks like the closest model is the Outlaw Ultima as it has the Kelron chassis and the longer shock towers.

Thanks for the kind words -

Joel is right about the front shock tower, originating from an Outlaw Ultima.

The chassis is an Ultima II chassis (same as Outlaw Ultima)
Shocks are kyosho Sport Shocks L & M in green
Rims are SandMaster.
Battery straps - GPM.
Rod ends - T2M
ARP rear tires for bedlock
Academy RoadRunner front tires (fits like a glove with the inner ring mounted)

I was actually planing to have natural G10 shock towers on it, but Jeff´s mind reading skills seems to be fading

I vote for a white body!
Which body do you plan to use? Considering the wheel and tire combination I think it'd look best with something older than the second generation ultima body.

I can do natural but I think it's begging for black!

Jeff - Yup exactly my thoughts  Black it is.

Mr.ED - I was thinking about a SandMaster body, if it´s long enough.
Any suggestions?

Front shocks are only medium which is fully allowed according to VKR.
There´s a chance the strut might survive a crash if it was G10 and supported by a brace.

We can definitely go custom. Aren't the mediums about 1/2" shorter than the longs that it was made for? Shorten it, brace it at the top and we could even make it 1/8" material too. Lots of options

Yes, they´re at least 1/2" shorter than the Long.
As it sits now, they´re mounted with long rod ends, making them app. 1/4" longer than with short rod ends.
So if it was 3/4" lower it should fit well.

If You go down a notch from 1/8, what would be the next std. thickness.

I usually use 3/32 and that's the next step down in standard sizes

Short shocks should be 3'
Medium shocks should be 3.5"
Long shocks should be 4"

I'm just scared taking 3/4 off might bind up at full travel...but I can do whatever you wish

I´ll try and do a mock up 3/4" shorter and see what happens.
