I'm having a dilemma.....

I picked this kit up about a year ago, it's the RC10 Graphite , #6030. It is brand new in the box, still has the plastic wrap on it. My dilemma is, now that I've had it for a year, I don't know what to do with it....lol. I don't know if I should leave it as is, untouched, unopened, or open it and build it. I'm guessing it's more valuable if I leave it as is and sealed? Should I leave this one alone, and find a different one to use as a runner?

I often look at buying NIB kits that I owned in the 90s but i always think "what the hell am I gonna do with it?" just leave it there sitting in its box.

One dream would be to wrap them up and open them on xmas day!

Keep it sealed and/or sell it. Find yourself a runner

That's basically where I am at. I was looking for a decent "G" when I came across this one through a friend so I jumped on it. Now a year later after it still sits in the closet and I've done nothing with it......is the dilemma...lol

Keep it in the box and find a rough condition graphite.

The same thrills as the new vehicle, but not scared to have fun with it.

while the temptation might be fantastic, I look at these types of finds from a decidedly profit view. You can get a ton more money for that guy keeping it sealed, and turn the profit into a really sweet graphite roller PLUS other profit OR something else you like; another car, a guitar, a new part for the 1:1 car, etc. Is opening bags worth the potential loss of those other things? I dunno, it's your call. To me, it's not.

I hear you, the more I think about it, the more I think it's a bad idea to open it up.

If it was mine, I'd sell it here cheap!

Seriously I think I would keep it new in box and just buy a cheap runner instead.

I feel the same way at times. Here is my solution to the Christmas day surprise.

I give a list of cars / trucks I want (NIB) to a friend of mine. He searches to find them and then let's my wife know which one to get.
Then on Christmas morning I get a NIB kit but totally surprised by what it is.

Looks like you decided what to do with it, and someone wanted it pretty badly: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Team-Associated-6030-RC10-Graphite-Buggy-Kit-NEW-IN-BOX-/121917390684

Congrats!

Curious if it was someone on this forum that pulled the trigger on that auction...
