Hi all,
I'm wondering if anyone out there has gone brushless with there vintage RC10 and if so what is needed. Thanks for your help.

Stealth transmission. If you already have one, then you're *nearly* set. The B4 top shaft with the B4 slipper clutch is the way to go. The old style 80's slipper sucked in comparison. It's all entirely bolt-on.
This is a older Stealth with the newer B4 parts. It had come with the single sided slipper orginally.

Yep, I have a Castle 5700kv in mine and its just stupid fast. With lipo too. After I switched, I'll never go back to NiMH and brushed again, just not the same. Great run times north of 30 minutes and amazing, linear speed all the time for the whole pack.

yeah, it really depends on how much power you think you will push through the car. Brushless can mean low maintenance decent stock motor power, or insane gear shredding.
use a 2S pack Lipo at most; stealth will give you more power handling due to the clutch, but the 6 gear built right with a very tight diff will work up to the point where you start getting too much traction and slip the diff too many times. you can lessen the impact by using something near a stock motor (17.5, etc) and using less than optimum tires. modified 6 gear cars ran 7 cells and 12 turns motors back in the day, so they aren't exactly fragile.

The worlds re-re tranny/slipper parts are also an option.
