My Newest RC-10 Gold Pan score

Stopped by a thrift store last month and ran across a RC-10 Gold pan in the box for $10.00........that's right, $10.00....how could I pass it up ? Well, I'm cleaning it up and fixing it for a friends, 10 year old sons birthday, in September......what a great way to introduce the next generation of RC'ers......

Just a little update to the RC-10 score.......still working on little problems (when you dye RC-10 parts, take out the front shock set screws, live and learn) trying to have it ready for Ean's birthday in September....new body painted (killed me to have to paint a Seattle Mud Hens color scheme LOL), but didn't think it looks too bad, only my second RC Car paint job.....new brushless motor/ESC set up, new LiPo batteries and a new 2.4GHZ radio set up........a lot of work to make a 30 year old car run flawlessly for a 10 year old....think next time, I will just pick up a RTR car for the Kids birthday LOL.....

Looks like a very happy Ean with what turned of to be his 12th birthday present.......a new RC driver was created over night.....it is so cool to watch a kid get excited over an RC car.....
