Help with XXXS motor setup.

Im bringing an xxxs back to life. Chassis will be all stock. Using a traxxas 2218 receiver. I cant decide on a motor setup.
I dont want to just drive it back and forth doing top speed runs i actually want to setup road courses in nearby parking lots.

Ive narrowed it down to either a castle 6900kv motor and castle sv2,Or a trinity speed gem 12t nitronite and a vintage tekin esc. I realize theres a huge difference between the two,but can the xxxs even begin to handle the speed and power of a castle 6900? Or will i just be spending my time sliding in turns? I have never owned an xxxs or even drove one so i dont know what they are capable of. The 12t nitronite is very quick as far as brushed is concerned, but if the chassis can realistically handle more i want more. Both setups will be 2S

On a 2S LiPo, that 6900 kV motor will be pushing almost 58,000 rpm...probably about double what the 12T brushed motor will do. Just my opinion, but it's overkill to the point of uncontrollability.

EDIT: But then again, I'm not that good a driver... :)

Less of the chassis being able to handle it and more of if you can actually control it.

Yes, it can handle pretty much anything you want to put in to it. The practical side is that with either setup you will spend a lot of time careening around uncontrollably until you can actually deal with the power.

However, with the Castle you can tone it down a lot via software, so you can make it drive-able and ratchet it up as you get more familiar with it. Much like the Training Mode that Traxxas has, except a lot more customize-able.
