Were there two different shades on the gold tub?

I have two different gold tubs here, one with the standard gold shiny anodizing and one with an orange matte like finish. I remember someone mentioning them in another post but can't find it with the "search" button. Was something special about the orange ones or was it just normal?

i wanna say the "lighter" gold was earlier versions of the chassis/plates/shocks etc... later on they seemed to be a bright gold orange color. i have 2 old original 1984/5 kits with the old address and there stuff is the earlier lighter color... all a guess but its what ive notcied

Orange and gold seem to have come from different ano batches, I've got a proper Edinger car in orange which goes against the normal thinking. I think that the differences in color may be random up to the CE cars.
