I originally wasn't going to do a build thread on this car, but figured what the heck, since I like looking at what other guys are doing. I wanted an "old" car that I can just drive around, whether it be track, street, yard, or whatever. It will be the standard WOIN build for the most part.

I started with a relatively clean RC10T that I never drive, got some Klien arms, 2.06 inch turnbuckles all around, B44 axles, and Dynotech hub carriers, to start me off. I had already converted the car/truck to run B4 front axles, so now I'll have B4 wheels all around. Now none of my cars will run the old pin style wheels. The front shock tower is an old A&L unit.

Trying to do all the nuts and bolts in Stainless. I usually like the blue stuff, but they look ugly when they get scraped.

So, the nice/bad thing about ordering arms from Dynotech is that they come in singles. I forgot one front arm when I placed my order. The second one is on it's way, and I'll continue then.

The goal of the build is to have the car I would have wanted, but couldn't have due to technology, when I was younger. Basically a duplicate of one of my original cars, with modern electronics. I'll do one of my trademark "ripped" bodies for it. Like so:

Got the second Klein arm in, so the front is done now.

Just tires I had lying around. I'd like to have spikeys on the front too eventually. The backs are, begrudgingly, pin wheels. I'd like to change those out too. But, at least now it's a roller.

Nice build, those arms are bullet proof, I ran them for 4 years with brushless power flawlessly.

It will likely end up with a Castle brushless setup, I believe I have one lying around.

Any reason mounting a shorty pack in the shown position would be a bad idea? Seems like it's be good for weight balance, but I could be wrong.

What I want is room for the large Castle esc to sit on the floor, and with the fan it can't sit on the sides as it will hit the body.

I scooted it back just a bit, and went for it. I had to shave down the two battery cups to fit a shorty pack. I also drilled and countersunk the holes. Came out good I think, aside from the discoloration on the one battery cup. I think I may change them to black, or dye them.

Not sure about the weight distribution, but as mentioned above and I'll second it, those arms are tough.

Added a body I had sitting around. It's a sparkle black paint, although it just looks black in the pics.

Yes I know the double decked wing would get crushed, but we used to build these sorts of things when I was a kid. I'd pull it off when I run the car and put a different wing on. Now if it just had a front wing...........

The right color wheels and a semi-correct wing make a huge difference.

Ultimately it will have another body and a correct wing.

Hey yellowdatsun I think you did a great job with this car I'm so eager to build one myself with 2 potentially slightly differential twists..... you mentioned in another thread that you made an woin style buggy with an RC10GT in a mid motor configuration I'm looking to go this route. If you did a build thread or have pictures I would LOVE to see any and all I can to answer questions I dont know I have yet! Lol.....and if I go a different route itll be using the T2 chassis as my base for my woin build....or maybe I should just do both!
