Unknown chassis / trailing arm

I'm guessing it's an MIP trailing arm, but the tower looks different and the aluminum crossing piece looked different. And the chassis is along, just about constant width chassis for a 6gear AE tranny. Plus I don't think I've seen the MIP trailing arm kit in graphite?

The graphite arms are original MIP parts but the aluminum plate they're mounted on is custom. The shock tower is MIP too but those cut-outs are custom. The narrow chassis is from Composite Craft or Trinity (both resold the same chassis).

A&L never made carbon arms. Always pressure cast aluminum

Just to be clear, those arms are MIP not A&L. MIP made the arms in fiberglass and graphite.

If you need proof here's the the instruction sheet....check out the box under the part's list. ;)

whatever it is, it's awesome

Can someone please explain how the rotation axle of the arms can be perpendicular to the chassis, with this alloy block not being "in-line"? Where is the bend?

Thanks!
Paul

I actually have a set in graphite too.

The rotation of the arms happens inside the aluminum blocks. While they look like straight trailing arms they're actually semi-trailing arms because the blocks are not at a 90 degree angle to the arm. As the arm travels up the camber and toe of the wheel changes.

WOA

Some crazy suspension cinematics right here!!!

If someone has a set for sale, I'd happily buy it and build it to learn how this works! These are some insane angle changes on compression

I'd be willing to part with the arms/bracket/tower (not the chassis right now) pictured... I'll send you a PM
