Vintage RC Parts- Intro & Info

Post by ToddFalkowski »

Hello!

By suggestion, I've setup a business thread for Vintage RC Parts.

Who is Vintage RC Parts? One-man show... Todd Falkowski from Indiana. Been racing since '87, so the cars I'm catering to I've likely raced and owned.

How long have I been doing parts? The vintage parts, not long. But, I've been doing carbon fiber parts for years now. I do make chassis conversions for carpet oval cars- you can see me at www.f14chassis.com.

Where are you selling? At the moment, just on EBay. Look up Toddster75 on EBay. Or, you can see my page on Facebook, @vintagercparts, where I have the EBay links. Soon I'll have a website created, www.vintagercparts.com where you can buy directly- right now it just redirects to the F-14 site... Stay tuned.

What parts are you making? Right now, I have all the Team Losi "JRX" shock towers- the original, the JRXT, JRX-Pro, and JRX-Pro SE towers. I also have the RC10 Team Car / Championship Edition towers. These towers are all to the proper dimensions and shapes, but in 3mm Carbon Fiber for durability... "Better than the Original!"
Also, if you're into C&M Cobra Sprint cars, I have everything for those, and then some (I have created update parts for those).

What's Next? Coming soon is RC10T shock towers, t-plates for 10th scale Associated (and other) pan cars, as well as some onroad/oval stuff.

I need a piece for my ________, what can I do? If you have anythning that can be cut from Carbon or Fiberglass... Send me the broken part, and I will pattern it and send it to you. If it's a common part, I'll do it for free! If it's completely oddball, I will set a price. (Example, Kyosho Ultima front tower, FREE. Trans brace for a Mauri Ninja, I'll charge for that!)

You can contact me on here, or through the Facebook page. Please give me a little time to respond. :D

I've known Todd since about 1994. We're on about a 15 year break from racing with each other, but I'm sure he's still the good guy I used to race with. (and the 15 year streak will hopefully be ending in the next week)

Thanks for sharing the builds! They're awesome!

Marty- I missed the BRL there this year, sadly. I really wanted to go. I did make the Omaha BRL a couple weekends ago, and will be at the Finals in St Louis in two weeks. This weekend, Lake in the Hills Illinois for Time Warp's annual Spring race, complete with Vintage class!!! :D

Marty-

Vinton is unique in that it's based on how old school club racing used to be... Roll out the carpet, tape it down, and race. It's also the widest track we race on. All the other tracks are permanent tracks. I've run the BRL since it started 11 years ago, and have raced Vinton probably 5-6 times. Look up Brushless Racing League on Facebook, and/or look on YouTube for "BRL Racing"... I remember our All Star race from a few years ago was up there...

Sorry, just getting recovered from the BRL Finals...

Time Warp had 151 entries, and 15 of those were vintage! The top guys were XX cars and a World's Car, but there was a guy running a JRX2 with 6 cell and brushed motor, as well as a guy that had a TQ10- box-stock with the old boxy Magnum Junior radio, even! Hella cool! Great race, I brought some inspiration from it!

I can indeed purchase carbon fiber sheets with the “kick-up” in it. It gets really costly, however- most feedback I’ve received is that it’s not worth it...
