Just starting a thread for my 2nd Worlds ReRe build that will be for racing. Going to start with making the parts list. Some of which I've already started acquiring.

Edited 2017/05/31
  • SSC10 Chassis Kit & Motor Guard
  • Dyed all "white" parts Black (RIT Dyemore Graphite)
  • Lunsford Punisher Titanium Turnbuckles
  • Lunsford Titnanium Hnge Pins
  • TeamBlueGroove Undertray
  • Boca Green Seal Bearings
  • RPM Heavy Duty Rod Ends
  • All Stainless Steel Hardware
  • Xerun JustStock 17.5 Brushless ESC/Motor Combo
  • Radio Control Customs G10 Fiberglass Shock towers
  • Associated White Wheels dyed Black
  • Proline Racing Dirt Hawg III (front) and Dirt Hawg I (rear) Tires
Tires will probably be swapped for more appropriate tires for the track when the times comes...

Definitely open to suggestions, ideas, etc.

I've had my eye on the SSC10 Chassis Kit for awhile so will be watching what you do.

I have a couple... the chassis feels nice and solid. Once I finish my box-stock build. I want to get going on this to hopefully make it out to the track in a few weeks.

I got mine from Chad, aka "fitsquad" on Ebay... http://www.ebay.com/usr/fitsquad

Or there's a FB page... https://www.facebook.com/groups/357379891328587/
and https://www.facebook.com/SSCLCG/

If you're in a real pinch and wanted it bad... I'd sell you one of my extra kits.

First step done... RIT Dyemore Graphite came out pretty nice. We all know black is the fastest color.

Outstanding! I've subscribed to your build in order to watch how the SSC10 chassis goes together.

I'm debating if I want to order one of his fabricated motor guards or do what the original SSC10 builds did, aka chop the tail off a chassis.

I do have a good donor chassis that has a straight tail but is otherwise hacked and scuffed to be otherwise useless.

Thanks for pointing out the very existence of the SSC10 chassis... which I didn't know about either. This looks pretty darn awesome...

The fun bit is, I initially read "SC10" and I was thinking "wtf, man..."

Subscribed to your build 8)

If the "donor" chassis is of no value other than the tail section you need, dremel on!

I ended going with Boca Green Seal Bearings. I was eyeing ceramic but the cost is pretty high. We'll see how these go. :)

I do have to give a special thanks to Boca, because I pointed out their "World's" bearing kit was for the original, not the ReRe. After chatting with them, they gave me such a great deal I got 3 complete bearing sets for less than the cost of most ceramic kits.

"RC Car & Truck Green Seal Bearing kits have been an industry standard for many years and are specially designed for off-road or excessively dirty driving environments. These ABEC #1 bearings are maintenance free and lubed for the life of the bearing. The heavy duty rubber seal provides extra protection against the harshest elements."

I have been buying Acer bearings for awhile, think I'll switch to Boca in the future.

I was torn... I almost bought an Avid kit because you can customize what type of bearing for each size. The Boca rep was so helpful and the discount was just too good to say no too. We'll see how they spin...

Broke down and ordered an SSC rear motor guard. Too lazy of late to hack off the tail of a chassis and have to clean it up, drill it, etc. I want to build! LOL. Crossing my fingers the bearings show up today/tomorrow so I can really get started this weekend. :)
