Worlds rerelease CVAs on a CE

I installed these rerelease worlds CVAs on my championship edition and they appear to be a little short. During the first run it popped out like this. Does it look like they are not set up correctly? Are people successfully using the worlds CVAs on older RC10s.

For some reason the rere are too short. It's been an issue on the worlds cars as well. Install all the shims to the inside, that's about all you can do. I think there is another bone people found fits it better but it's an extra expense too. I'll see if I can find the bone they are using.

Thanks for the fast reply and advice. Glad to know it's a known issue. I think it was the B44 bones that were recommend as a better fit. ASC9760 but I'm not sure. Can someone confirm?

I wonder if using a flanged bearing on the inside of the rear hub would help?

It would not allow the pin to fit tho :(

Now that I can see your pic, yours is out a lot further than most that I see.

That pic is after it slipped out. It'll go back in the outdrive and drive for a bit. But is still too short and would come out again if driven for a few minutes around tight corners.

I have three shims on the inside and will try to add a few more to find the right fit.

I suppose I could add a fourth down limiter inside the shock to reduce droop.

The shock down stops may very well help. When you say "add a 4th one", does that mean your down stop spacers are .032" thick? If so, there's a pack of thicker ones available. I'll come back in a few minutes and give you the part number...

Come on Guys,
The Worlds re-release kit has CVA's not CVD's.
Thanks Mike, I will make sure I put it in my RC10 book this time.

I'm using three of the thick shock downstops ASC 6466 in the rear shocks. They are built per the 1992 RC10 CE manual. They are likely the .125 (1/8") spacer but I'm not sure.

First, I'll try the b44.2 center bone ASC9911. I'll report back with pics of how they fit. Thanks for the advice :D

You can't see in the pic I posted, I'm using the rere worlds rear pin hub with the regular blue spacer between the pin and the hub/bearing.

Does the rear hub matter? Aka the older/blockier shaped one vs. the newer/smaller one? vs. say an RPM rear hub...

Also shock mounting position would affect the downward travel of the arm a bit too, so if you're not racing, maybe you can tweak the mounting location a bit to limit travel?

you can probably move the blue spacer to the other side to push the bone the other way and give you enough outdrive engagement. Although I'm not sure if the blue spacer will physically fit behind the hub and not interfere with the arm.
