Outside of your usual hex driver set (I have had my Dynamite set for 8 years LOL) what are your favorite tools in the tool box/work area?...Post pics if you want. Just looking to update/upgrade mine so any ideas will help.
Thanks.

A few of my essential tools...

Digital calipers with spare batteries

Nylon jaw slip joint pliers (useful for squeezing roll pins into axles without marring things up)

Precision stainless steel rulers

Here's what I have. You can get them from eBay, most likely Amazon too. Search for IPS PH-165 pliers. They are made in Japan. Hard nylon jaws that are replaceable.

In the fishing section of Walmart, they sell aluminum pliers. They aren't cheap, but they won't mark up hinge pins, and grip better than the plastic jawed pliers. I have both.

Mine were red and black, but same idea.

Also, some form of electric driver and bits to fit.

One of my most used tools is a precision reamer.

I also use a bearing shaker quite a bit for cleaning

Wow thanks for the reply's!. Its cool seeing the new tools. I have missed a lot LOL. I have a good body reamer but want to hit Walmart and see what they have now!.

I did see that companies are making shock shaft pliers now too!.

Shock shaft pliers are really nice to have. The first time I built shocks (Worlds re-release) I used my nylon jaw pliers. A little cumbersome but got the job done. Then I found a good deal on eBay for the Associated #1675.

Another cool and handy tool is a "bead reamer" It's basically a diamond coated, tapered round file. Very handy for opening up tight, pass through screw holes. I came across the file in the craft section of Walmart. While your in the section, look for the small zip loc bags. Great for sorting/storing screws and small parts. They are cheap, only a couple of bucks for a nice size qty.

I second the AE Shock Shaft Pliers... I used the shock shaft pliers for the first time on my ReRe build and definitely made building the shocks easier.

Other ideas (useful for other hobbies I have too)...

I just picked up the AE tool driver pictured above and it is pretty sweet. It's pricey, but I wanted it for a good pinion allen key(as well as having a an ideal set of sizes).

My go-to tool is a pair of tweezers. 00 tip size, they are handy for EVERYTHING. anything you need gripped that is small or hard to fish out, or you need to align, these guys are my left hand.
