I'm not stalking you, mate, sorry to say. Sure you'll find someone else, though, with your easy directions....
I didn't realise that you do BookFace on the toilet.... and now.... I'm wishing I hadn't found out that particular little piece of information

Re: Facebook users on 10talk
The main reason I ask this because i was debating activating the RC10talk "group" on FB. We have the 10talk "page", but I kinda lost interest in finding stuff to post on it everyday. I think the "group" page would be better for a more "community" kind of feel.
Since trying to do any kind of quality build thread on FB is absolutely laughable, my thoughts were to have the more active members here that do build threads and such post updates on FB of their builds, but always link back to it on here in hopes of gaining more foot traffic. Maybe get some new members that actually appreciate seeing and following along with builds and maybe want to start their own.
I know activity has slowed down on a lot of the forums that I go on (except the Tri-Five board, they're still doing well). And to be honest, I've noticed participation dropping in the FB groups as well. But, the 10talk group page is there and has been for a couple years now. Might as well fire it up and see if we can get a little fire lit back under this place..... instead of it only being used as a source for information.

Re: Facebook users on 10talk
Was just thinking today, I owe this place a build thread or two, for all I've enjoyed over the years.... should be good to go in a month or two, for a build never seen here or pretty much anywhere.

Re: Facebook users on 10talk
I'm not on fb at all. I've been on here far less than I like the past few months, but have been busy with work, life and home projects. The photobucket thing has me pretty bummed still too. Hope to get back on here more in the near future so I can once again share my vast and unrivaled knowledge of everything vintage r/c...

Re: Facebook users on 10talk
I'm not a Facebook user, never will. Im on this forum every day, more than likely several times a day. I'm not logged on as much anymore due to my other non rc build right now so I don't have that much to contribute. But I try to make it a point to at least vote in every months build off.

Re: Facebook users on 10talk
Since it's slow around here I thought I'd have a poke around clodtalk, and found the answer to this question.

Re: Facebook users on 10talk
I actually do remember seeing that.
There is truth to the forums being dead in the summertime (in the USA). But I would say that the last 2-3 years it didn't really pick back up all that much in the colder months. That's not good.
I have thought about what to do to try and keep interest up on the site for a long time, as well as talk with other members about it. To be honest, I'm kinda out of ideas. I think the guys that have moved on to FB groups and such are pretty much gone. But they'll come back here when they need info to post on there. But lets face it, there are a ton of reasons for people to not come around anymore. Marriage, divorces, having kids, work schedule, finances or just a simple shift in hobbies/interests. When it comes to that kind of stuff, there are no forum changes that are going to stop them from going away. Now if they are leaving because of something we are or are not doing, that's an issue.
We just need a shot in the arm around here...... but I'm unsure what that is or where it needs to come from.
