This lipo tray can be adjusted forward/backward.
I'm still working on it because it is not sturdy enough.

Nice idea for the shorty. Im not sold on adding more front belt tension though.

Now you have my attention, i like the tensioner idea and the lipoholder which I would like have when finished.

May be its because I dont run any lazers any more, but all my built lazers have pretty tight front belts. I dont think they could even use a tensioner. On the other hand, a lazer alpha I had was one car that had very loose front belt. All my current lazers are very tight, and draggy because of it.

My belts megga loose, in 89 I found that it was a lap more efficient with a softer belt compared to a taught one. Ok batteries have changed since 1400s but the car is stupidly faster without a taught belt now, I use a 4.5 in mine now and easily beats the cars of nowadays. Mind you that was before I invented the carbon fibre tub chassis and then it got much looser and faster as well as more efficient.

This lipo tray is a clever idea, it inivitve design goes beyond the normal and opens the door to other setup ideas, this idea would be a superb idea on clay and low grip plus think it could work on astro high grip as well. The belt tensioner on the middle top deck mount isnt doing much as the belts movement under full throttle is ridiculous and this canny idea solves the damage to the battery casing and the belt. Its nice to see someone else has a passion for this car and has the idea to put it into the real world. Well done, this is stunning and I dont say it often but simplicity it looks but it definately wasnt to design.

The Lazer Alpha front belt is very loose due to a design error involving the motor mount and chassis - basically the chassis flexes so much right in front of the motor mount, also due to the absence of a brace on the left side, that the belt slacks. Replace the stock motor mount by a regular Lazer mount and add the left side brace, and the problem disappears.

I def like the idea of a shorty solution for the lazer. It would be easy enough to make the front end about 1 or 2 mm adjustable to accommodate the tensioner.

I'm no native speaker, so I try not to be too talktive.

Thanks, but I'm afraid not. It requires too many parts.
