got this super cheap from a guy that bought it in a storage locker and the truck was full of dust/dirt. have no idea really what this is i would think the chassis would be hard to be homemade due to the bends also it doesnt have the holes drilled for the frt tube braces. any thoughts????

I think that might be a C&J racing chassis without the black/Purple ano

I initially said Holeshot but they appear to have not had raised sides. I know the C&J did as they were a local company

from what i have seen the holeshot chassis is flat, this one has the slight curves to it.

Can't find any of the GT, the RCCA ads were late 94 but none of the digital downloads have the ad but one that showed the nitro hawk chassis. Its September 1994. You can find the mag in my links below. I tried uploading a pic but they got the picture portion of the forum so jacked up I'm done messing with it

His chassis were pretty thick. I'm gonna say like 1/8". They were cut at the local college by students. Pretty cool deal.

I was going to say possibly a Hardcore chassis but looking closer it definitely looks home made.

no help here but thanx for the extra tore down pix. I passed on it when I seen it f/s but not because of interest but just tired of picking up home made jacked up junk for too much money and by the original pix of it I wasn't gambling.

Once you guys started throwing out names on it I went back through some of my old magazines. Just a small ad with no pix of the chassis. The rest would be easy enuf to machine though. Looks like someone was experimenting with stuff and liked it enuf to keep it around intact anyway.

Glad it went to a collector if its something needing preserved...

The C&J chassis for the Nitro Clucker were awesome and fixed a couple problems. He also had a neat shock tower brace. He had chassis for the hawk and rad as well. They were pretty popular locally. The purple was awesome but he did black also

like the fact they are somewhat...bendable

I'll have to do some more checking on it for pix. Like to see one for a nitro hawk for sure...
