870C Dogfighter score :)

Just picked this baby up. I used to race against this very car BITD, and my old mate has let me take it off his hands (along with 4 other old cars).
It has a weave chassis and the original kit item came with it, barely used. It looks pretty standard and i am well chuffed with it. Just needs a thorough clean and check-over. The paint job was EPIC back when we were racing - sadly the shell is in poor-ish shape, but the undertray has survived well!! It also came with the original kit box and a big box of spare wheels, the early 2 inch and a few sets of the rarer 2.15inch deep-dish version.

Not sure, it looks well finished but I have never seen another like it. I will ask the original owner and find out. It also came with a heap of pink rims of various sizes/dishes, and several sets of Hot Laps tyres.

Looks great, this was the first car I ever won a race with back around 1990. Sure it was a B main with 4 entrants of which 2 broke, but it said 1st place! The details are long forgotten by most and when I tell anyone about my 1st 1st I tend to embellish a bit
For that the 870C is special in my eyes.

Comedy magazine feature of this very car in an A Final showing in a round of the '89 RRC Series. Same wing and awesome under tray art work
