Pb Maxima score

So I just posted up about my recent Yokomo 870c score, but in fact I managed to pick up a total of 5 cars this evening; the Yoke, my original CAT XL from the late 80's, an Associated RC10L road car, an original Sand Scorcher, and also this, a rare Pb Maxima. I know this car, having personally raced against it BITD.

It is complete, but needs a total overhaul and tidy up. It also has a saddle pack chassis conversion, Option House shocks and retains some electronics. Does anybody know anything about the chassis or what the ESC is please?

Chassis looks to be possibly a cut-down Mini Mustang chassis, with saddle cell cutouts bolted to it - could be home-made, could be Parma or some other aftermarket seller... definitely not PB Ace, they were plastic.

I'll leave it to someone else to update about the ESC!!! :?:

Great pickup, for sure...

I got a whole pile of spares, motors, batteries rims, tyres and decals as well as the cars, all for very little money indeed. Well chuffed.

Having had another look, I'll change my mind... not a cut-down Mini Mustang chassis, as it doesn't have the necessary cutouts at the rear. I would say home-made....

You don't need all that guff.... may as well just box it all up and send it my way.... I'll recycle it for you, doing our bit for the environment

So a quick wipe down, replacement NOS bumper and a change of rims and it is looking better already. Needs a full strip and rebuild though really. Lots of rust on the metal components from being garaged-stored for a couple of decades!

Turns out the speedo is a Demon ProKing as well :-D

I absolutely love it!!

The gold wheels and shocks are very nice accents. Looks great so far!

Super rare score today! This is the elusive Pb Maxima front bumper and mount set. I have been looking for the piece top left for over 12months and they are generally considered impossible to find. Amazingly this auction was for 2 sets!!
