Has anyone removed tire lettering from the sidewalls of tires and have it still look good?

I found a set of tires I’d like to use for a build but I don’t Necessarily want to display a competitors brand on this car.

"and still look good"...

I've not tried doing it on RC rubber tires but have made the attempt on model car tires. The lettering always seemed to "ghost" on me, no matter how smooth I got the sidewall, in a couple of days I could still see it but not feel any ridges. I'm sort of anal about details, therefor, I considered it a failure. You may have better luck!

Back when I found the "magic" tire I used to dremel off the writing so nobody could tell what they were  They never looked as good as a factory molded surface but they looked fine, had to really look to tell.
