Hi Guys,
I had a six gear kicking around, so I decided to dye the cases black and do the bearing mod on it, I also have this
powder coated chassis kicking around as well.
I had previously used it for another build that didn't go anywhere.
So I've decided to build a bit of a racer,
Cheers, Dave.

That's a nice looking tub. What does it cost to get something like that done?

Hi NomadRacer,
It wasn't expensive, I think I paid about $30 Australian, the tub wasn't perfect to start with, the powder coating covers
a lot of the scratches.

That's a really fair price. May have to pick up a decent used tub from ebay now.

Not much to report, but I modified a battery box today and added a black strap to it,
to continue the black and white theme.

Sweet,
Are you planning to post your build?
I am thinking of doing my runner 10t in fluorescent red or fluorescent yellow.
Cheers, Dave.

Hi Guys,
Front shock shafts turned up today and I got the shocks built,
now just waiting for the used rear bulkhead from E-bay to turn up.

The bulkhead from E-bay turned up,
the pic doesn't really show how dirty and discolored it is.
But I have a plan!

Hi Guys,
I cleaned the bulkhead I bought off E-bay in about 700 mls of water with a tablespoon of caustic soda and simmered
it for 20 minutes.
Wow, the caustic solution ended up really dirty!
That and some scrubbing it was a lot cleaner but still very discolored, I then put it in 6% Hydrogen Peroxide for 3
hours, was a very sunny day here.
This is the first time I have used H2O2 on any parts.
Wow, it came up really good I am really happy!
I then simmered it in straight water for 20 minutes to hopefully remove all traces of the chemicals.
Here is pic of the cleaned bulkhead.
