help needed with Kyosho diff

I'm rebuilding a Nitro USA-1, did some research to beef up the diffs and came up with the essentials (BSW1, BSW2, and BS41)

My question is, being that I couldn't exactly find the best description online on how to properly build the diff with these *new* parts, is:
Am I missing something that is supposed to hold BS41 together to the rest of the diff? It almost looks as if there should be an o-ring or some sort of washer around the indentation?

This is the gear that came off of the diff compared to the new steel unit

Also, for anyone who has run one of these Nitro USA-1's, any benefits to using silicone diff fluid in them or do you just stick with grease? (I have plenty of cowRC grease)

Thank you

Not experienced with these myself, but a quick check of the Turbo Burns manual online gave forth this:

From here: http://www.competitionx.com/pdf/vehicle-manuals/kyosho/kyosho-turbo-burns-4wd-manual.pdf

Hope that's helpful in some way.... may not be the same as in the USA-1, but then again, it might be!

Generally, silicone diff fluid will be more thermally stable than a petroleum based grease. Also, silicone diff fluid is available in a wide range of viscocitys so you're able to vary the differential's resistance.

USA-1 is a member on here, and he has a ton of experience with these cars and trucks. I suggest you send him a PM and he can help out.

If you end up with an extra BSW1 piece, I need one. Thanks.

I am excited to see what you are building. You should start a build thread for it.

Based on the picture posted you can clearly see it needs a giant E-ring which I have plenty of spares if you need some let me know, It comes in a packaged of 10 clips. Aluminum gear can be machined to have that piece integrated but not possible for case hardened steel. I believe the BS-14 may not be needed also (Gianrt E-ring) might have also been integrated into the design, sorry been awhile. Yes do a build thread here.

Thanks for all the help and info! I'll have to figure out which weight oil to use for the diffs. And I guess I should start a build thread for my first one on the forum! Kinda still up in the air as far as what I'd like to do with the truck, still on the hunt for a set of decent condition stock wheels (which I know is like finding a unicorn!)
