looks like a shock shaft of some sort with a hollow nylon screw with a spin nut on top to adjust the tension of the springs, i have never seen this before and wondering if any one has some information on who makes or made it?

Yeah, nice floating pod dampner. I actually had that on one of my flat track cars way back. Seemed to work pretty good.
