Building a Shelfer 10T from a Pile of Parts

So I posted a pile of parts the other day after digging a bunch of stuff out of my closet. I found some pretty cool stuff in there so I decided I'd like to build a nice truck out of everything I have. Hopefully end up with a nice era correct, modified 10T. I may build a runner too, if not, then possibly just another truck to sell and recoup some $$$.
The 2 boxes I started with...
Before and after some cleaning...
And some aftermarket mods...

I will be mixing up the kits a little to pick the nicest parts for the shelfer. One truck had bushings, gold shocks, white arms, thick shock towers, dog bones, etc. The second truck had full bearings, black arms, thinner towers, and hard ano shocks. Both are "B" stamped chassis.
I have some nice RPM parts and MIP bellcranks to use too

Its starting to look like something

. That MIP 10T steering cleaned up nicely...almost too white but looks great.

The pics actually make all the plastic look a little more "white" than it actually is. I need to trim the center nose plate screw. It hits the steering when you turn to the right.

I never had a Truck back in the day. I think they are really cool tho. Pretty sure I want to build a runner out of all the extra parts I'll have after building this one. Maybe something with a few modern touches

Great job on the clean up. I'd have never thought of using Simple Green on tires. Thanks for the tip!

Looking real good. It is amazing how well some of this stuff can clean up. Nice find on the NIP Tecnacraft kit, and the choice RPM pieces.
Any ideas on body and paint?

I have the Team Associated 6130 Team Truck body for the build. I was thinking something similar to a box art paint job.

Did a little more cleaning and assembly. Almost have a roller. Waiting on a shock rebuild kit. Think I'll use the gold shocks on it. The ones I have are in good condition and the color contrast with the rest of the truck should look pretty good in my opinion.
