What’s the most common parts that break on these and what spares do people suggest are best to stock up on?

For what it's worth, I've raced the early SWB, XL, and then the XLS nearly every week for a few seasons back in the day and I don't recall breaking a single part.
That said, I did stock up on a few items after the XLS was re-released; arms, front shock mounts (uprights) and drive shaft parts, set of belts, diff parts, rod ends, etc. As I recall, the new parts aren't too costly so perhaps it makes sense to stock up on the high wear and high impact parts.
Sorry I can't be more helpful. The car is actually very durable - especially with its very innovative crash-back system.

First thing I broke racing my re-re (first race and 1,5 laps done) was front drive shaft.

After replacing the axle with old axle from my parts Procat (and upgrading from 13.5t -> 7.5t) haven't had problems yet.
