RC10L - Looking for Parts

A local track just started up for carpet oval. My old 1991 RC10L needs some exercise. But I want to have some spares on hand. I found a source a few years ago for the T bar, and front wheel upright blocks(not the right word for it, but the block that had the arms that the hubs attached to. Found the part number # 4115

And wheels and tires for the 4 bolt style rear tires and the fronts that used E clips(yeah, it's that old)

Does anyone know where to find them these days?

as far the wheels go most of the foam wheels go should work BRL
just use different bearing in front wheels
old trailing or in line axles should work
we run the old classics around hear in the winter
you got a part # for what your looking for ?

8190 is the T bar and 3211 is the front axle carrier.

I don't have the 8400 front end.

Not totally understanding what you mean about the axles.
who makes decent foam tires these days?

EBay always has parts, though not usually at prices one is hoping to pay. Most current pan car style wheels/tires should work; you just may need to shim the front wheels if you continue using the e-clip axles. You can even use the current Legend style "spec" tires from RJ Speed if you don't know which foam to start out with. That's what I usually use, but I'm a lazy racer.

I found some world GT spec tires/wheels. And most of the parts I needed after much searching. At not a bad price.

Do you know what parts I need to convert the front axles to something better than E clips? They are a PITA

The one other thing I don't know how to search for is tall rear body mounts for GT/oval bodies. And the wide front bumper. Although I may end up just making a new one

For vintage(ish) oval stuff, I often find myself deferring to RJ Speed. https://rjspeed.com/ Prices are reasonable and the parts are readily available. Many LHSs should also carry RJ Speed parts in stock, as the Legends class is quite popular. They have body posts up to 4" long, front threaded axles, steering blocks, etc. As far as my experience goes, vintage par car parts are of a standardized size. There are plenty of other options out there, I just always prefer quick and easy. As far as bumpers go, I've always cut out my own and custom fit it to whichever body I'm running. I use this type of stuff from McMaster-Carr and have had great results: https://www.mcmaster.com/acrylic/pvc.

Thanks all! I had it at the track today, the electronics were dead so i had to replace the ESC and motor. I put a 13.5 in it due to it being the only one at the hobby shop. Holy crap is it fast even with NMh batteries in it. Turned down the speed as low as I could on the radio and still could barely keep from breaking out. Still handles amazingly as well.

Next project is a 17.5 and lipos.

One more question, anyone know where to get a replacement chassis? I'm striking out on all the usual places. I want to change to a carbon chassis and add a real servo mount.

Check with the guru GoMachV on this forum. He has a shop in the marketplace. He might be able to help you out with a chassis
