Hey guys, new 13 yr. old here with a vintage RC10 from my family that I'm hoping to revive!
I jumped the gun a bit and posted the thread about my project in Vintage Electronics before I introduced myself(https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=78&t=44373), but oh well.
If y'all wanna talk to me off-site, I'm also on the DIY Go Karts forum as JTSpeedDemon:http://www.diygokarts.com/vb/(been there awhile, 2000+ posts!!).
Glad to be a member here and can't wait to learn more about this hobby! :D

I've always enjoyed tinkering with vintage speed, like my 70s go kart with an 80s engine that I'm hopping up. That project is stalled for now, so I decided to finally get going on this RC10.

Hi JT and welcome aboard. :D
My Dad and older brother raced karts way back in the '60's.

It's a breath of fresh air to see some "young blood" joining the ranks of the vintage enthusiast RC club! Welcome and looking forward to your RC10 resto. 8)

Thanks. I got a similar reception into amateur radio, with people excited to see a kid get interested. Other kids play Mario Kart and Fortnite, but I work on my go kart and RC10!

North Texas.
All I'll say for safety reasons is within 100 miles of Dallas.
