Here is the custom AYK Radiant I built. I built it a bit custom, hopefully the purests won’t be too mad that I didn’t build it stock.

Very nice car, consistent color scheme, beautiful body...and we shouldn't ever need to apologize to "purists" when building a work of art like this that is unique and different from boring box-art. Anybody can follow a manual; to do something like this takes creativity and vision, and execution.

Very cool project! I love the color! This is powder coated?
I am also working on one and was wondering about which CVD and wheel setup to use. You mentioned Kyosho axles. Did you use axles and wheels for the Optima?

The CVD’s I used are for the rb5/lazer and I used matching Kyosho 12mm hexes

There are two different lengths of axles for these CVD’s. There are the short two “stripe” and the longer three “stripe”. I used the longer axles as pictured which allowed me to shim the inside or outside of the hub as needed.
I actually used new Kyosho bearings front and rear. They are the exact same size as the Radiant ones.
