Bathtub picture

When trying to take pictures I am always looking for either an interesting yet not distracting backdrop or just highlighting the subject.
The bathtub gives an interesting semi-reflective background and tends to diffuse a flash fairly well.
A bright light source from above with a diffuser might also help.
This was taken with only a flash.

The rubber duckie is a nice touch!

If it wasn’t as shiny it almost resembles a light box. Good idea, except my tub is always too dirty to pull this off. Single guy life......

Great idea Chuck, will try this, as I'm always looking for a better way to photograph my cars (no room for a light box)...

Work will do that... looked on eBay, still nobody selling more time....
I just realised that you did post before me..... I guess the shock was more that the response was not adult content....

I didn't even noticed the ducky till I read it and scrolled back
Pic is actually good. never would have guessed its in a tub.

Ha! Hadn’t seen the duck.
As you said, moving the flash away from the camera and applying a larger diffusing surface to the light should improve the lighting drastically.
A white sheet across the top of the tub over the car and the light source above.
