When did Kyosho switch from 0.8mod pinion/spur to 48p?

As the subject says I'm looking for insight into when and on which buggy model Kyosho first used 48p gears and which model was the last to use 0.8 mod?
My own research by looking through manuals would indicate it was on the Triumph with the TM-7 spur gear, which was also an option for the Lazer ZX-R. At least that's the first mention of 48p.
All earlier Ultimas and Optimas have similarities when comparing the part numbers of pinions and spur gears.
Then again I might be missing something... :?:

So was W-0110 stock on the Ultima Pro?
When reading the manual I saw it mentioned but thought it was an option as it listed UM-1 with all the regular gears as well.
Actually haven't opened the gearbox on my Pro yet and looked at the spur gear.
Always thought it was the same as the Optimas throughout the Ultima range.

What about the Mids?

Pro and Pro XL both list is as original. The replacement gear set is still the UM-1, even though two of the gears would not have been used. They didn’t create a new part number for a gear set that was already widely used

So then the Hard Pinions listed as options in the manual, W-5085 to W-5095, are also 48p then?

Not 48p, they were “metric 48p” which is the 0.6 module gear.

But yes- those were the hard pinions for the special counter gear

You're correct! I realised this shortly after I made the post!

But what about the pinions and spurs on the Mids? What pitch were they?

They were all the same 0.6 module. It was Lazer ZX-R that finally got standard 48p iirc.

Edit: verified it uses a TM-7 spur which is a standard 48p. So basically the Triumph was the first 2wd buggy and the ZX-R was the first 4wd race buggy to use standard 48p spurs.

Ah, so my findings that I mentioned in the original post were correct! :)

Going back to the W-0110 spur, can that be used on a regular Turbo Optima?
The inner part of that spur was still 0.8 mod right?

Also, what Option House Hard Pinions were available in 0.8 mod that would work with a regular spur gear (looking for the part numbers)?

Yes, the w-0110 can be used on the entire series- from Ultima to the Outlaw Ultima to the Optima, Turbo Optima, Javelin, Salute, and into the Outrage and 2wd scale car series. Anything with that came with a UM-1 or OT-27 (sprockets and gears for optima series)

I only see three hard pinions for .8 module. If you forecast out more part numbers in that numerical series, they are for other non-pinion parts.
