hottest motor for 6 gear trans????

guys, what the hottest wind motor you have ran in a 6 gear trans w/o killing it? I'm going to make a runner out of the 10 i won on ebay and would like to run a modified in it, but don't want to tear up the tranny......any suggestions?.............

I'm running a 17turn double speedgems sapphire in my 6-gear runner with no problems so far. The trans has full bearings and is holding up well after a few packs run through.

you can put whatever motor in it that you want to. just stock up on idler gears.

Yea, scr8p is correct on that. A buddy that I used to race with was BAD about using really hot winds in his cars. But, he knew every trick to make a six gear last.

jeez we used to run 14 and 16 quads in those back in the 80's on our dirt oval. Yes you will wear out the idlers... probably a little faster on offroad then oval.
