a fun race weekend

We were at the Oakdale mall in Binghamton NY. We had a small carpet oval set up in an empty storefront, with pits across the hall in another empty store. There were 5-6 entries in each of several classes. There were 3 separate race programs over the 3 day event with 2 heats and 1 main in each class. I ran sliders and stock truck with my teamcar/gt hybrid(http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=4299).
The mall was doing its annual "speed world" display where there are lots of local/regional 1:1 racers, everything from EDM to legends to carts and microds. We had plenty of spectators coming and going throughout the show, and may have roped in a few new drivers who were impressed by the low cost of the slider class.
Special thanks to:
Kippy of Kipshobbies.com (now local to me after his recent relocation)for hand delivering me a set of foam tires at the last minute.
Charlie Danoski, and Jim Carr for setup help(I really needed help)
and Frenchie for a great set of batteries and custom tuned stock motor.
Despite all the help, It turns out I am much better at restoring, and collecting than I am at driving.
Thanks again to Frenchie for putting on a fun show.
One last thing, I bought another vintage RC10 off a fellow racer today. $100 for a BBT with belt drive trans, I couldn't help myself, pics to come.
