Howdy all.
I was feeling sore after selling my Optima Mid SE, so when this Lazer came up for sale locally, I bought it. Of course.

Looks like a Lazer ZX with an Alpha body?
It has a sweet set of HPI star wheels.

I'd be happy to maybe buy a new chassis, repro body + decals and have a nice, stock Lazer ZX.
Possible?
What exactly do I have, here?
I've been working on Mids too long and I'm a bit rusty on Lazers, though I have owned a couple.

I believe you have a Kyosho Optima Mid.

Different arms, chassis front uprights???

It is most defiantly NOT an Optima Mid. It is a Lazer ZX-R with a Lazer Alpha body on it.
