Sprint car restore

This sprint car has sat for a while time .. any suggestions where I should go. Should it get mip transmission. Anyone know who made chassis. Any other threads with sprint car builds.. also looking for instructions for the mip trans.

I'm thinking those forward bars were added by a previous owner. IIRC, BBT had the Challenger kit (or maybe it was called Desperado?) with forward bars but they screwed to the back of the shock tower and were evenly space all the way up to the roll cage.
As such, I'm guessing it's either an Ascot or a BBT - I've had both but I forgot how to tell the difference. :oops:
As it sits, it's going to be hard to fit a body between those bars. Maybe previous owner was squeezing the body in under the bars?
There are a lot of sprint cars posted here, just do a search. Many of them are incredible. Enjoy!
I grew up in an area where dirt ovals were common so spending a Saturday night at the track watching late models and sprint cars was a big deal.
