Hello.
Achieved a dream last November, and got The Bruiser. As a Birthday present from the Wife :D

In preparation, i searched on builds, and found a couple of good threads online.
Then, after building it, and using it, I wanted to make it better.
More internet searching, forum visits, and experimentation, I am nearly there.

Its currently running reduced leaves in the springs.
Schumaccer CAT XLS rear shocks. I returned the Piggy Backs, They leaked, and the hoses wouldn't stay on, even with the slightest action!!
Shapeways front hub balancers and servo mount
Thingyverse rear suspension body mount (didnt use the cantilever set up that came with it)
Custom rear towers
Increased steering lock hubs
Custom front gearbox mount to raise in 10mm
Trimmed rear link bars to give increased extension and compression
Custom front hub to servo link - original snapped.

Bodywork:
Custom hair do on the driver, to match mine
Paint: Mettallic blue. Looks more Box Art IMO. Waxed with Definitive Wax car wax.
Panel Gaps, all done properly, including between the Bed and Body. All stickers cut along the gaps as a 1:1 would be IRL

Tyres changed to Yokohama Geolander. Not sure on these. They dont look as chunky!!

One thing I have found is the stering giving me grief.
It tuns one way more than the other. Not sure if its because of the front servo mount, or an error on my part.

Dadio, on here has done loads to his HG clone, and I got some inspiration from him on this, and other places.

Pix for your approval.

I always loved/wanted a Bruiser. I'll never forget when I was a kid of about 13-15 yrs old in the mid 80's when my Dad's friend brought his Bruiser over to show us. I feel in love with it soon as I saw it (all I owned at the time was a Hornet & Fox).
Great lookin' truck you have there.
