RC10B6.3D Body Mounts?

My new RC10 B63D is running well. I've had to figure out a lot of things along the way and these forums were a great resource. My latest issue is with the body of the car. I don't really see or understand how it's supposed to mount to the rest of the car. I feel like I a missing something. Are the little tabs on the Lexan supposed to keep the body in place? If I didn't do a super accurate cutting job on the Lexan body, am I doomed to have the body constantly flexing and coming off? The thing is almost un-drivable as the body flexes and bounces of the chassis with every bump and hard turn. I just don't see anything in the instructions that details how the body is supposed to stay on.

Most current 1/10 racing buggies rely on velcro on the sides of the chassis to keep the body on for the most part. Something like this ought to suffice:
