I finally got the parts I needed from McMaster carr and started my 6 gear rebuilds.

One of the diff tubes is non-stock.

Can anyone help me identify it?
The most obvious difference in that. 1/4 (.24”) x1/8 ball bearing is replacing the .2” Teflon bushing.
Besides that it appears to be made of steel as it was rusted before cleaning , the original seems to be aluminum.

Looks like the Losi version. One of my six gears has a different aftermarket diff tube.

It does appear to be losi 4005
Have you replaced the bearing in yours? does 1/4x1/8 bearing fit?

I didn't do anything to mine other than lube it. Other than one outdrive bearing, the whole transmission didn't need anything.

The bearing in mine feel dead, but at least not crunchy. I'm hoping to replace it.

Out of curiosity, I pulled the spur gear off that car. It actually has that same steel tube as yours (for some reason, I thought it was aluminum). I tried to remove the bearing without disassembling the top shaft but it seems to be tight.

Mine was snug, put it came out with appropriate force.

I just came across one of these Losi diff tubes for the RC10. It seems crazy to me that Losi would have made an aftermarket part for the RC10 BITD. Maybe it was to try and encourage RC10 owners not to change over to Stealth gearboxes. 😁

This was pre JRX2, they did the steering kit as well. Good stuff!

That sticker date is waaaaay newer than the part
