So I bought this on ebay last night. It looks complete, so I figure it was a good gamble. The overall design screams Delta but the T bar mount doesn't look familiar.

It looks a lot like a Villian, except for the mount. Maybe an earlier or cheaper version.

Anyone know?
And what type of body would be most appropriate for it. I seen a chassis that also used the rear body posts as wing tubes.

It's a Composite Craft Predator chassis that has had a slot cut out of it for the t-bar. The rear pod is a 1/12 Delta pod that has been cut in half at the back and widened with an extra strip of aluminum.

I didn't even notice the rear pod had been widened.

I guess its good that I didn't pay much for it.

I might try to at least make it functional.

Got it in today, in all of its glory.
Started tearing it apart and cleaning it.

The "dampers" are pretty primitive, mostly comprising of 3/16 aluminum tubing and springs. But when combined with the flexibility of the t-bar, it doesn't feel too bad.
Got the rear pod cleaned up and reassembled it with some new bearings, shims, and thrust bearing from my parts bin.

Got the rear back together and threw in a Trinity motor as well.
On to the front, and more cleaning. I don't know if the front was homemade or just poorly machined, but it suits this car perfectly. The steering blocks are actually from a RC10, that have been cut down to fit. One is cracked and they don't fit well anyway, so I'll probably replace them with some RJ Speed parts.
I threw in a servo and the original links for now. I'll replace all that when I do the steering blocks.

I threw on some BSR spec tires for the time being. Since I plan on doing some parking lot running, I'm thinking that some CRC wheels and rubber F1 tires sounds like a good idea.
So, it will probably sit like this for a while.

I remember seeing it too on the bay. I like how well you cleaned it up and it now looks surprisingly good! Nice job so far!

Made up an antenna mount and esc shelf.

The antenna mount is nothing more than a piece of 3/16 tubing. It is tapped on one end of drilled out to 1/8 on the other. It then has a hole drilled through to pass the wire into. It's basically an aluminum version of the old Parma mount.

I wanted a full aluminum esc shelf but couldn't get anything to fit to my satisfaction. So I used an aluminum plate to mount a carbon fiber bracket for a RC10.
I've got a Tekin TSC 410S and a Futaba R112JE for it.

Got the esc and receiver installed. I didn't wire the servo because this isn't the one that will be used (I need a different servo saver).

I don't normally use the Anderson/Sermos connectors for batteries or directly wire the esc to the motor but it seemed right on this car.

Did a little work on this one.

New steering blocks, axles, and springs from RJ Speed.

Swapped the servo to the Tower System 2000 that I intend to use, along with the correct Kimbrough servo saver and some Yeah Racing servo washers.

The ball studs are Tamiya 5mm balls with 2mm shanks with low friction cups.

I grabbed some turnbuckles from my stash but they are a little too long. I'll have to order some shorter ones.
Also did some work on the rear.

Made a new rear plate, which gave me somewhere to attach a sway bar. Most of the sway bar hardware came from a Custom Works kit, the rest was laying around.

Replaced the shaft on the center dampner, as the original (3/16 aluminum) one was in bad shape. I also made the new one a little longer.

Replaced the bodies and shaft of the side dampers. The ones that were on it were on the short side and had a lot of slop.

Replaced the 15t motor with an 11t and got some battery straps. Not pictured, but I also have a Novak XXL receiver for it.

I haven't touched this one in a while. I picked up some Tenergy 3800 cells and built the saddle packs. I switched to Dean's plugs, as the Anderson plug was really just too bulky.

Your soldering skills are top notch! Also dig those battery straps. I wonder how those sub c batteries perform. I was looking to build a few but having some difficulty locating some decent cells.

Got the body decals and some battery decals from MCI.

I'm going with the classic Nissan GTP look.
With the orange Trinity motor and Novak/Tekin electronics, those blue batteries looked odd. So I added these decals to break it up some.
I knew the straps would cover a good bit of them but I think it still looks much better.

Did a little work on this one.

Swapped the Novak receiver for a Tekin, to match the esc. Slightly modified an RJ Speed front bumper, and trimmed the body.
Those aren't the body posts that'll be used, just some that were laying around.
