Today I received an Associated RC250 Club Racer via UPS even though i promised myself i wouldn't get any more cars  .

I couldn't help myself. It is a cool looking sample, especially considering the age, just needing a few items to get it running. It will need some effort in cleaning to make it a great looking model. This is what i found online about this car.

RCscrapyard - "The Team Associated RC250 Club Racer, was introduced soon after the RC300 BD in 1979, as a cut down entry level kit, and an RC250 Club Racer II kit - # 2001 - was released in 1984. The 2WD pan car design of the RC250, was based on an FRP (fiber-reinforced polymer) plate chassis and alloy pod, with a fixed axle drive and metal bushing, ring type bearings."

This is in need of a front bumper, front body posts, rear wing/body tubes, brake linkages, top fiberglass receiver/servo plate, proper manifold, and exhaust pipe. The top receiver/servo plate is a custom made aluminum plate designed for use with a more modern fuel tank. An original plate would be made of fiberglass or plastic and designed to be used with the original long and narrow fuel tanks that were common in those days. The rear aluminum pod is in great shape aside from 4 extra mounting holes drilled into it and will get the polish treatment as well. I have a replacement bumper on the way from Brazil.

The only thing ive managed to do so far is take it apart. I have some of the needed replacement parts but everything is currently in a box waiting to get worked on.

i still need to get a body for it.

Hi Erik,

Yes, i have the site saved. I got the body for the RC300 from them.

Eventually I'll decide on the body style and order from the site :D
